Traffic Fine Roadshow rolls into Lentegeur for six days

The roadshow is a highlight for many motorists, as it offers a one-stop shop to settle outstanding fines and warrants. Various City Departments will be on hand in Lentegeur for six days from Friday 16 May to Thursday 22 May, to assist.
The Roadshows are spearheaded by the Cape Town Traffic Services with the City's Legal Services.
What started as an annual occurrence has now become a far more frequent calendar entry, with the next roadshow happening at the Lentegeur Civic Centre.
‘We continue to be blown away by the level of interest these roadshows generate, and I invite everyone with outstanding fines or warrants to make use of the opportunity. Under normal circumstances, you’d have to go to each individual magisterial district to handle multiple warrants – the roadshow removes a lot of the red tape. I also want to invite persons on our list of Top 100 offenders to come forward. A concrete action plan to settle your debt is surely far more palatable than time behind bars. Given the popularity of the roadshows, attendees should expect long queues, so please be patient and ensure that you have all of the correct documentation with you, to avoid disappointment,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security, Alderman JP Smith.
The roadshow will be held at the Lentegeur Civic Centre in Merrydale Road, starting at 08:30 on the following days:
• Friday, 16 May 2025 - for City staff and members of the public with bulk representations (20 or more fines)
• Saturday 17 May 2025 - open to all. The event will close at 12:30 on this day
• Monday 19 to Thursday 22 May 2025 - open to all
Staff will undertake to assist the first 350 persons in the queue on any given day – anyone who is still in the queue will receive tickets to return the following day and be seen to first, provided that they are at the venue by 09:30.
Services available include fine-related enquiries, applying for reductions on fines issued in Cape Town, paying outstanding fines, and the removal of administration marks on the Natis system.
